LG V40 ThinQ Possible Specs List, Design Details & More

LG V40 ThinQ rumored to come with five cameras on board

LG’s upcoming flagship device LG V40 ThinQ is already creating a buzz on the internet, all thanks to the rumors related to the handset’s specs, design and release date pouring in. Notably, the smartphone company has already unveiled three flagship smartphones this year including the LG V30S ThinQ, LG G7, and V35 ThinQ.

As nothing about the upcoming smartphone has been revealed by the makers, there’s plenty of speculation around LG V40 ThinQspecs and features. While some reports claim that the smartphone will feature five cameras, three 20MP, 16MP, and 13MP cameras on the rear and two on the front, some others suggest that V40 will come with two cameras on the back and one on the front. The Huawei P20 Pro is currently the only phone which sports a triple-camera setup at the back.

LG V40 ThinQis rumored to get Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor along with 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM, proprietary Quad DAC, wireless charging feature and a dedicated button for accessing Google Assistant. Based on firmware files obtained by XDA Developers, the device will likely feature a P-OLED display with a notch and a tiny chin at the bottom. A P-OLED or Plastic-OLED display is just like an AMOLED or Active-Matrix OLED display. The difference is that P-OLED uses a plastic substrate while AMOLED displays use a glass substrate.

The upcoming smartphone will likely offer a higher screen space as compared to its predecessor LG V30. Along with it, the device is also expected to arrive with a 3D face scanning technology similar to the Apple’s FaceID, and boast the IP67 rating for dust and water resistance just like its predecessor.

As far as LG V40 ThinQ release date is concerned, the Korean smartphone maker is expected to take the wraps off the device right after IFA 2018 trade show, which is scheduled to take place in September this year. The new smartphone is expected to hit the retail shelves by October. There’s currently no information on LG V40’s pricing details.

Readers are requested to take the information with a big pinch of salt as nothing yet about the handset has been officially announced by LG.
