HTC U12 Life rumored to get launched before November this year

Taiwan-based HTC has a new mid-range smartphone on the horizon possibly dubbed as the HTC U12 Life codenamed Imagine Life. A lot of rumors about HTC U12 Life specs, design and release date have already flooded the internet.

Android Authority recently obtained some marketing materials related to the upcoming phone. While the handset’s official name was not mentioned in the documents, the codename and specs suggested that it could most likely be the HTC U12 Life.

As per the listed specs, the purported HTC U12 Life is expected to get a 6-inch full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage (plus microSD support).

In terms of camera, the HTC U11 Life successor is rumored to sport a dual camera setup comprising of a 16MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor which will be capable of 4K video recording and will come with phase detection autofocus (PDAF).

The HTC U 12 Life is expected to sport a 13MP front camera. The front camera will come equipped with flash and beauty mode. The smartphone is going to be powered by a 3,600mAh battery that will offer a long last battery life and there’s set to be a fingerprint scanner on board. It will also come with Bluetooth v5.0 and NFC support. At this point of time it remains unknown as to which version of Android it’s going to run. However, it is most likely that the handset could come running the recently launched Android Pie.

In a new development, a fresh pair of schematics of the alleged device has surfaced online which shows the front and back sides of the phone. Looking at the sketch, it is likely that the U12 Life will feature a dual-tone back. There’s a vertical dual camera module arrangement on the back along with a fingerprint scanner.

As far as HTC U12 Life release date is concerned, the handset is expected to get launched before November this year.
