With Apple’s annual September launch event inching closer, tech enthusiasts have started speculating about the various gadgets and devices that will get unveiled at the highly anticipated event.

According to rumors, the Cupertino smartphone maker will unveil a new entry-level MacBook alongside the new iPhone lineup in September. It is expected that the new MacBook in question could be the MacBook Air 2018. A lot of rumors about MacBook Air 2018 specs, price and release date have already flooded the web.

As per a Digitimes report, quoting industry sources, the MacBook Air 2018 featuring Intel’s 14nm Kaby Lake processor could come with a $1,200 starting price. The report further claims that Taiwan-based contract manufacturer Quanta is manufacturing the entry-level device.

Among other specs, the MacBook Air 2018 is expected to feature a slim design with thinner bezels, a 13-inches display with high-resolution Retina screen. Notably, the current generation MacBook Air, which costs $1,000, is Apple’s only laptop to boast a high-resolution screen. The MacBook Air line was last updated in 2017 with a faster processor option. The device hasn’t seen a major overhaul in several years.

Apple is also expected to launch a new version of its miniature desktop computer, Mac Mini. The Mac Mini 2018 variant is rumored to be named as the ‘Mac Mini Pro’. The device is expected to get new storage and processor options. As the new Mac mini is touted to be more powerful, it is expected to cost more this time around.

All in all, the tech giant’s September 2018 event will likely be a big grand affair with the expected launch of three new iPhone models, two new iPad Pro models, new MacBook Air, AirPods 2, new Apple Watch, iMacs, a Mac Mini and AirPower mat.
