HEC Paris’s CEO Talk Gets Footballer Turned Entrepreneur Didier Drogba As Guest Speaker

HEC Paris, the international business school, has got on board entrepreneur Didier Drogba as the guest of the “CEO Talk” which is scheduled to be held on Thursday, September 12.

The “CEO Talk” is organized in Abidjan by the West Africa and Central Africa Office of HEC Paris. Initiated in January last year, it aims to give voice to leaders who contribute to the development of African economies.

Charles Kié (CEO of New African Capital Partners) and Jean-Marie Ackah (President of the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire) are also going to be a part of the CEO Talk which gives an opportunity to African decision-makers in the sub-region to exchange among peers and share their respective experiences.

In his 20 years of professional football world career, Didier Drogba played more than 700 matches and scored more than 360 goals in club and with the Ivorian selection. He is now CEO of Holding GOALS FOR AFRICA (GFA), with which he intends to make investments in Côte d’Ivoire and Africa. He is also vice-president of the international organization Peace and Sport, a neutral and independent international organization based in the Principality of Monaco and under the patronage of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco.

At The CEO Talk, Drogba will talk about his career and share his experience and advice with the community of HEC Paris in Abidjan. Some of the topics he will cover in his speech include his journey, his businesses and investments, its reconversion in the world of business, and his new responsibilities at CAF. He will also have a Q&A session with the audience and give interviews to some journalists who have expressed an interest and have received confirmation.
