LG will unveil LG V40 ThinQ in a launch event in New York on October 3

LG’s highly anticipated LG V40 ThinQ has been the subject of a lot of rumors since last few months. Tech enthusiasts now have a good idea of what to expect from LG V40 ThinQ in terms of specs and features, all thanks to the heap of rumors.

Well, it seems the wait is finally over as the South Korean giant has finally announced that it is hosting a launch event for the upcoming LG V40 ThinQ in New York on Oct. 3, followed by an event in Korea the next day.

LG has also released a video clip teasing the phone’s triple-camera set-up. The 10-second-long video clip shows images being captured from three different angles. It confirms that the upcoming LG handset will have standard, super wide angle, and telephoto lenses, similar to what the Huawei P20 Pro has. The information is in line with previous rumors which suggested that the LG V40 ThinQ might pack in a total of five cameras, with three on the back and two up front. Notably, there is still no confirmation on the number of sensors for the selfie camera setup.

Among other specs, the LG V40 ThinQ is rumored to feature a 6.3-inch QHD+ pOLED notched FullVision display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset consisting of four 2.8GHz and four 1.7GHz cores, an Adreno 630 GPU, 6GB or 8GB of RAM,  a dedicated Google Assistant hardware button, Stereo BoomBox, Quad DAC audio technology, and DTS:X Surround Sound.

The smartphone is expected to be made available in two storage configurations; a 64GB and a 128GB. Keeping the lights on will be a 3300mAh capacity battery, same as the V30.

We will have to wait for a few more weeks to get detailed information about LG V40 ThinQ specs, feature, price and availability information.
