Samsung’s newest offering from its Galaxy A8 lineup, dubbed as Samsung A8s, has been the subject for rumors for quite some time now.
AllAboutSamsung.de has posted a new report which lists all the possible Samsung Galaxy A8s specs and features. The most interesting feature is expected to be the inclusion of Samsung’s “Infinty-O” design, which will drastically reduce the bezels on the top, bottom, and sides, resting the front-facing camera with a 24-megapixel sensor on a small 6.7mm hole in the top-left corner.
Among other specs, Samsung Galaxy A8s is expected to feature a 6.39-inch Infinity-O display with full HD+ resolution supplied by China’s BOE. On the hardware front, the Samsung phone will likely be powered by Qualcomm’s recently launched Snapdragon 710 chipset paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, expandable up to 512GB via microSD card. The leak also reveals that the Galaxy A8s will come packed with a 3,400mAh battery that charges via USB-C. The smartphone is rumored to come running Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box.
In terms of camera, the Galaxy A8s is expected to come with a primary camera of 25-megapixel sensor, secondary camera of 5-megapixel, and third camera of a 10-megapixel. If it turns out to be true, then Galaxy A8s will be the second phone from Samsung to get a triple camera setup on the rear panel. There’s currently no confirmation on the aperture and other camera features and modes that the Galaxy A8s will pack.
As far as the release date is concerned, the Galaxy A8s is expected to launch only in January 2019 but there are still no details on the official pricing and availability.
Samsung is also going to unveil the highly awaited Samsung Galaxy S10 sometime in February, likely at MWC 2019, and launch them by March.
