Apple Watch Series 4 Specs: Next-Gen Smartwatch To Get A 15 Percent Larger Display
Apple is expected to launch Apple Watch Series 4 at its September launch event
There no end to rumors when it comes to Apple’s soon-to-be-released list of devices including next-generation iPhones, MacBook Air, iPad Pros, and smartwatches. The Cupertino tech giant is expected to launch its next-generation Apple Watch Series 4 at its September launch event.
Rumors about Apple Watch Series 4 specs, price, and release date have been making rounds for quite some time now. Tech enthusiasts are expecting that Apple’s next-generation smartwatch will be rolled out with some impressive new changes in terms of design as well as features to give a tough fight to a brand-new Google Pixel smartwatch and the Samsung Galaxy Watch.
In terms of specs, the new Apple Watch Series 4 is expected to come with a 15 percent larger display as compared to Series 3 smartwatch, a bigger battery, micro-LED display, 1GB of RAM and enhanced health monitoring features.
It is likely that the smartwatch will incorporate thinner bezels to make room for a larger display without changing the overall size of the wearable device. The new wearable device will likely come running watchOS 5, which comes with enhanced health-tracking options, an all-new walkie-talkie feature, and a Podcast app.
According to esteemed Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the bigger Apple Watch Series 4 model will sport a 1.78-inch display, while the smaller model will have a 1.57-inch display. The current generation smartwatch offers 1.32-inch and 1.5-inch display options. He added that better health sensors will be present inside the device, suggesting fitness will once again be a big focus of the product.
There are reports that claim that the Apple Watch Series 4 will be made compatible with existing bands from the smartwatch line. This suggests that the upcoming smartwatch will be available in two sizes — 38mm and 42mm — much like the older models.
More information about Apple Watch Series 4 specs, price and release date is expected to be announced soon.
