CFAO Renews Partnership With Public Health NGO AMREF

CFAO, one of the leading distribution companies operating in Africa, has reportedly renewed its partnership with AMREF, Africa’s first public health NGO, for the next three years. The partnership deal is made through AMREF’s endowment fund, the Africa Health Club, that offers companies and foundations committed to the continent an opportunity to pool and optimize part of their sponsorship resources.

AMREF basically focuses on maternal and child health, water and sanitation facilities, medico-surgical assistance and training of health workers in sub-Saharan Africa region. The Health Club Africa conducts training programs for health care workers and midwives in Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire as well as organizes mobile surgery camps in the sub-region. AMREF trained more than 125,000 health care workers in Africa in 2017.

Commenting on the partnership renewal deal, Cécile DESREZ, Director of Human Resources, Communication and Social and Environmental Responsibility of the CFAO Group, said the company’s partnership with AMREF will help in promoting healthcare and overall development of the African countries.
