Google Pixel 3 Lite, Pixel 3 XL Lite Specs Show Up In New Renders
Google is expected to unveil the new Lite Pixel phones at CES 2019
Recent reports suggest Google is soon going to launch not one but two affordable Pixel smartphones, mostly possibly dubbed Google Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 XL Lite.
Well, now, new Google Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 XL Lite 3D CAD-based renders, which comes courtesy 91mobiles and Onleaks, offers a look at how the upcoming smartphones might look like.
The renders show Pixel 3 Lite featuring the same 5.5” screen like the actual Pixel 3 smartphone with thick bezels on the top and bottom and a single speaker visible on top acting as an earpiece, with the loudspeaker sitting on the side frame. The Pixel 3 XL Lite has got a 6-inch display with 2,220 x 1,080 resolution with the top bezel making it slightly smaller than the Pixel 3 XL’s 6.3-inch display.
Pixel 3 XL Lite device won’t likely get a notched display as its expensive counterpart. The renders also show a headphone jack on board, a feature that was dropped from the series since last year’s Pixel 2. The bodies of the Lite phones are expected to be built in polycarbonate as opposed to glass, which could be due to cost-cutting measures.
Among other specs, the Google Pixel 3 Lite is expected to feature a Qualcomm’s mid-range Snapdragon 670 SoC with 4GB RAM as standard, a fingerprint sensor at the back, a single rear camera accompanied with an LED flash, Google’s Android 9 Pie with Pixel launcher and a 2915mAh battery. The Pixel 3 XL Lite is speculated to get a more powerful Snapdragon 710 SoC instead of the Snapdragon 670.
As far as the release date is concerned, a number of leaks suggest Google might unveil the new Lite Pixel phones at CES 2019 which is scheduled to be held in January 2019.
