HEC Paris Launches Entrepreneurship Program In Morocco
HEC Paris in collaboration with École Polytechnique Executive Education, InnoEnergy, and Mohammed VI Polytechnic University has launched the “Entrepreneurship in renewable energies in Morocco” program. The program started late last month at the École Polytechnique.
The entrepreneurship program is intended for managers, researchers, engineers or creators of start-ups, in the renewable energies or energy sector as well as a staff of public institutions. It allows the participants to acquire expertise in engineering and entrepreneurship on the energy market, in a context of energy transition.
The cutting-edge, highly innovative entrepreneurship program has enrolled a total of 22 participants. The first two modules will be taught face-to-face in the Paris region, the last one in Benguerir, on the IRESEN site. D
The Green Energy Park, which is designed on 8 hectares of land, is a unique campus with an internal research platform of more than 3,000 m2 bringing together several laboratories in the field of solar photovoltaic and concentrated solar thermal. Installed in Morocco, in Benguerir, IRESEN is one of the first research and development platforms for renewable energies.
Jean Michel Gauthier, Professor at HEC Paris, and Bernard Drévillon, Professor in the Department of Physics at École Polytechnique, the Academic Direction of the program, will be involved in the program. Jean-Michel Gauthier is also Chief Economist Officer for Energy & Resources at Deloitte in Paris. He advises major energy groups, governments as well as the European Commission. He is recognized as an expert on energy economics, markets and regulation.
Bernard Drévillon, research director at École polytechnique, specializes in thin-film photovoltaic applications and nanomaterials. Author of some thirty patents, he is also at the origin of the creation of a Joint Research Team between major groups in the field of New Energies and is one of the promoters of the Institute project, Photovoltaic of Ile-de-France.
