Huawei Mate 20 Pro Touted To Be The Most Exciting Android Phone Of The Year

Huawei is all set to launch its next-generation Mate handsets, namely, Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro next week at a launch event in London. As is the case with upcoming smartphones, a lot of leaks and rumors surrounding the Huawei Mate 20 Pro have already been making rounds on the web giving us some idea about what the smartphone might offer in terms of specs and features.
Well, if a recent leak is to be believed the new Huawei Mate 20 Pro handset will likely be the most exciting Android phone of the year. WinFuture’s Roland Quandt has posted press renders of the Huawei Mate Pro 20 along with a detailed list of the handset’s specs and features.
As per the report, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro will feature a 6.39-inch OLED display with a full 3120 x 1440 pixel resolution, slightly rounded edges and minimal bezels at the top and bottom, 7nm Kirin 980 processor with second-gen NPU, 6GB or 8GB of RAM, Android 9.0 with EMUI 9.0 on top, and a 4,200mAh battery. The display has a notch on top which houses a 24-megapixel front-facing camera and an IR laser system to facilitate face unlocking. The handset will also feature an in-display fingerprint sensor and support wireless charging.
On the back, there’s a camera module, placed right in the middle. There will be a Leica branded triple camera setup on the phone, including a 40-megapixel sensor, an f2.4 20-megapixel telephoto lens and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, which will be placed along with a flash inside a square module.
The Mate 20 Pro will also support for extra storage in the form of new nanoSD cards in configurations of up to 256GB. In terms of pricing, the handset is expected to be launched in the UK with a starting price of GBP 899. It is expected to be made available in four color options, including Twilight, Black, Blue, and Green.
