Nokia 9 Case Renders Hints At A Penta Lens Camera System
The renders show five circular cut-outs for the cameras, one for flash and one for a sensor
With 2018 coming to an end in just a few days, all eyes are now set for Nokia 9’s December launch. The handset is expected to be launched alongside Nokia 8.1 and Nokia 2.1 Plus at the ‘Expect More’ launch event in Dubai on December 5, 2018.
The event invitation shared on Twitter by Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer at HMD Global, has silhouettes of three smartphones with the launch location and date. While two smartphones in the image showcase display notches (the one placed on the left and center), the third one on the right appear to skip the notch.
Rumors surrounding the highly anticipated Nokia 9 hints at a Penta lens camera system with Carl Zeiss rotating technology. The handset is expected to have five cameras at its rear. Confirming the rumors, the case renders of the device have been leaked online by Slashleaks via Nokiamob. The renders show seven circular cut-outs on the back, five for the cameras, one for the flash and one for a sensor of some kind- likely a phase detection autofocus (PDAF).
The Nokia 9 case render also has two buttons on the right edge, probably for the power and volume, a cut-out for a microphone on the top edge, and more holes for the two speakers and a USB-C port on the bottom edge.
Among other specs, the Nokia 9 is also expected to include a 5.9 inch OLED display with a QHD resolution and 3D glass, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC with 6/8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, an under display fingerprint sensor, a 4150mAh battery and run Android 9 Pie out of the box. The handset is also expected to get microSD card support, IP 68 water/dust resistance, and wireless charging.
