Mobile operator Telkom has rolled out its Big Deal for April 2019, which is being touted as the best data deal in South Africa.
The R499 FreeMe 20GB SIM-only April Big Deal is available as a month-to-month deal. It gives users 20GB data per month for everyday use along with 50GB data for streaming from Netflix, Showmax, and YouTube, and that equals to 200 hours of free video streaming. There’s extra 10GB data for music steaming from Google Play Music, Apple Music, and Simfy Africa and 2GB data for using instant messaging app WhatsApp.
As far as calling is concerned, the April Big Deal offers 1,500 All-Network minutes and 3,000 Telkom minutes, reported MyBroadband.
Telkom has stated that users have the option of selecting a month-to-month SIM-only package, or take the deal as a contract and add a device. Notably, the FreeMe deal is available only until 30 April 2019 and users must purchase it in-store. The mobile operator advised customers to specify that they want the FreeMe promotion for April when purchasing the deal, as the standard FreeMe 20GB package costs R605 per month.
