US President Donald Trump Says He And Kim Jong Un ‘Fell In Love’
Trump made a startling revelation that he and Kim Jong Un have fallen in love after exchanging letters
Addressing supporters during a rally in Wheeling, West Virginia, on Saturday, the US President Donald Trump declared his love and affection for his North Korean counterpart Kim Jong Un. He made a startling revelation that he and Kim Jong Un have fallen in love after exchanging letters.
Trump began his speech by mentioning the massive threat that North Korea posed before he took office in January 2017. It was only after the two leaders met during a summit in Singapore in June that the relationship between the two began to improve.
“That was a big big problem,” Trump said of North Korea. “And, you know, when I did it, and I was really being tough, and so was he. And we were going back and forth, and then we fell in love, OK. No, really. He wrote me beautiful letters, and they’re great letters. And then we fell in love.”
Both Trump and Kim are preparing to schedule a second summit to talk more about denuclearization. The time and location of the meeting have not yet been announced.
Meanwhile, North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho on Saturday said at the United Nations General Assembly that his nation will not disarm its nuclear weapons while the US continues to enforce sanctions as the sanctions were deepening North Korean mistrust of the US. Ri called on the United States to fulfill the promises made during a summit in Singapore between the rivals’ leaders.
The Trump administration, on the other hand, has said that sanctions will stay in place until North Korea denuclearizes.
“The recent deadlock is because the US relies on coercive measures which are lethal to trust-building,” Mr. Ri told the assembly. “Without any trust in the US, there will be no confidence in our national security and under such circumstances, there is no way we will unilaterally disarm ourselves first.”
The announcement comes as U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is planning to visit Pyongyang next month.
