Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 Release Date Likely Scheduled For October 15

If recent reports are to be believed Xiaomi might release its highly anticipated Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 as soon as October 15.
Two alleged Mi Mix 3 posters were recently spotted on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo, one of which mentioned the October 15 launch date, and Nanjing Olympics Sports Centre as the venue of the launch event. Another poster just shows the Mi Mix 3 with a full-screen display, teasing the handset’s true bezel-less design. It’s better to take the information with a pinch of salt until the smartphone maker officially confirms the handset’s launch date.
Well, leaks surrounding the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 specs, price and release date have been making rounds on the internet since July. According to recent leaks, Mi Mix 3 will feature a camera slider, almost similar to the one found on the Oppo Find X, but it will be manual and not a motorized camera module. The slider will likely equip the selfie camera, earpiece, and some sensors. Details on how the camera slider of the Mi Mix 3 will work have not yet been announced.
Among other specs, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 is rumored to come with a Samsung QHD+ AMOLED display panel with COP packaging technology. The handset will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with Adreno 630 GPU and will feature an in-display fingerprint sensor, a 4000mAh battery, Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 10 out of the box, Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 support as well as wireless charging support.
As for the camera configuration, the Mi Mix 3 is expected to sport a 16-megapixel primary camera and a 12-megapixel secondary camera on the back and a 20MP camera up front for taking selfies.
Notably, Xiaomi’s Director of Product Management, Donovan Sung, has already confirmed that the upcoming Mi Mix 3 will be 5G-ready.
As far as pricing is concerned, Xiaomi Mi Mix 3’s 6GB RAM/ 64GB inbuilt storage variant is expected to cost $510, the 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage model is rumored to cost $555, the 8GB RAM, 128GB storage variant is expected to start at $600 and the premium 8GB RAM/ 256GB storage model is expected to cost $645.
