Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 Specs, Price & Release Date Details Known So Far

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is expected to launch its high-end flagship phone Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 next month on September 15. Earlier this month, a leaked poster showcasing the lower half of the alleged Mi Mix 3 along with the launch date was spotted making rounds on the web.

Although the poster didn’t mention the handset’s name, the device in the poster had very thin bezels on the sides and at the bottom with no visible chin and a display revealing the usual Mi Home and Camera shortcuts at both the corners. This is what is expected from Mi Mix 3 to feature. If the poster does turn out to be a genuine one, the handset’s release is likely to clash with Apple’s annual iPhone launch event that usually takes place around the same time.

Now talking about Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 specs, the smartphone is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor paired with the Adreno 630 GPU. The handset is rumored to feature a Samsung QHD+ AMOLED display equipped with a new kind of COP (Chip on Plastic) packaging technology, which would be a first for Xiaomi, should the company go ahead with it.

In terms of camera, the Mi Mix 3 is rumored to come with a 20-megapixel pop-up front camera like the Vivo NEX on board. The handset will also probably get an in-display fingerprint scanner and Qi wireless charging support.

As per reports, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 will be launched in four RAM/storage options – 6GB RAM/64GB internal storage, 6GB RAM/128GB internal storage, 8GB RAM/128GB internal storage and 8GB RAM/256GB internal storage. The handset will run Android 8.1 Oreo OS with the company’s proprietary MIUI 10 skin on top. It is expected to come in a new Ferrari Edition, along with the standard variant.

As far as Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 pricing is concerned, the smartphone’s 6GB RAM/ 64GB inbuilt storage variant is expected to cost $510 for the standard model and $660 for the ceramic model. The 6GB/ 128GB variant will be priced at $555 and $705 and the 8GB/ 128GB model will cost $600and $750 respectively. The 8GB/ 256GB variant will be available for $645 for the standard model and $795 for the ceramic model.
