Nokia 9 Specs: Handset Likely To Get A Dual-Edge Curved Display

A lot of rumors surrounding Nokia 9’s specs, features and design have been making rounds these days. If recent reports are to be believed Nokia 9 isn’t getting a 2018 release date. HMD Global is likely planning to launch the smartphone early next year, most possibly at MWC 2019 event.
According to tipster Nokia aNew, which claims to know HMD’s plans regarding the Nokia 9, the company’s Global Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas thinks the handset is not quite ready for launch and that is why the company has decided to delay its release. Well, we will have to wait and watch to find more about the smartphone makers’ launch plans.
Talking more about Nokia 9, an alleged real-life photo of the smartphone recently popped up online showcasing its entire front side. The leaked photo shows the smartphone sporting generous bezels on the top and bottom. In the picture, Nokia 9 is equipped with a dual-edge curved display, similar to what is found on the recent flagship Samsung smartphones. There is a USB Type-C port at the bottom, which means the device could come sans a 3.5mm audio jack.
Among other specs, Nokia 9 is rumored to feature a 5.9-inch OLED display with QuadHD+ resolution, a Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 845 chipset clocked at up to 2.8 GHz with an Adreno 630 GPU, a 4,150mAh battery with fast charging and wireless charging capabilities and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The key highlight of the Nokia 9 is expected to be its Penta-lens camera system at the back, which will comprise of 12MP + 12MP + 16MP + 16MP + 8MP sensors. There will be only one 12-megapixel sensor in the front. On the software front, the handset is rumored to arrive with the latest Android Pie out-of-the-box preinstalled.
