OnePlus 6T Likely To Get An October Release Date

While Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has remained tightlipped about its upcoming new handset OnePlus 6T, a lot of reports about OnePlus 6T specs, price, and release date have already flooded the internet.

Notably, OnePlus has been following the two smartphone launch pattern every year since 2016. The company resorts to launching its new flagship phone during June/July and then follows up with a ‘T’ version of the same phone in the months of November or December. This year, the smartphone maker launched OnePlus 6 back in May, so, now its turn for the release of a T version of the handset, possibly named as OnePlus 6T.

According to a report coming from CNet, OnePlus 6T will likely get an October release date. As per the report, the smartphone will come with an exclusive deal with US carrier T-Mobile. This means T-Mobile would be the exclusive launch carrier for OnePlus in the US, selling the phone through its retail stores and website. The report further claims that OnePlus 6T price has been set at $550, which is a $20 increase from the OnePlus 6’s price tag.

Talking about OnePlus 6T specs, the upcoming smartphone is expected to feature a 6.4″ (16.26 cm) display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 coverage on top, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor clocked at up to 2.8 GHz with an Adreno 630 GPU and a 4000mAh battery.

OnePlus 6T is rumored to come with a smaller notch than the one in OnePlus 6. The smartphone is expected to come running Android 9.0 Pie operating system out-of-the-box. It will be launched in two variants – 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage and 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. As for the camera, the OnePlus 6T could house a dual rear camera setup with 16MP sensors and 16MP front camera.
